Deamonic posession this, daemonic posession that and here I am thinking about Medea just giving herself to worship of chaos gods.

Because that would be easiest way out of her troubled existence. She also would be reunited with her Father whom Medea misses very much and yet... The duty put on her would not allow her to give up, because, despite everything she is still her mother's daughter and Nefrit was no quitter. That woman died on the soil of Prospero to Leman Russ himself for her people without any fear or regret, even with possible bloody spit to Primarch's face as one last showcase of defiance towards Imperium.

This is why Medea could never just give up to Chaos influences- that would mean betraying her people, betraying the reason why they died with the Prospero. She carries history and culture of the race now lost to death or Chaos on her small shoulders and giving that up is as bad as betraying her core existence. It feels wrong...

And yet... The other alternative is siding with Imperium against the Chaos. The Imperium which tore her family apart, The Imperium which destroyed last safe heaven for psykers in the galaxy. The Imperium her mother and her people hated with seething rage, but also the Imperium which brought her father and was the reason why Medea even came to be at first place.

There are so many choices and at the same time there are none which are right. To fight for Imperium like her father did? That ended in his turn to chaos. Fight against Imperium like her mother? That ended up in death of her people...

So many choices and none of them right and it is on Medea's shoulders to make the right choice...
